About the EPAL 2 Pallet
The EPAL 2 pallet is a heavy-duty standardized pallet manufactured under the European Pallet Association certification system. Measuring 1,200 x 1,000 x 162 mm, it provides a substantially larger load surface than the standard EPAL 1 pallet, making it the preferred choice for industries handling bulky, heavy, or oversized goods.
Constructed with 17 boards, 9 blocks, and 133 nails, the EPAL 2 pallet delivers exceptional structural rigidity. It supports a safe working load of 1,250 kg during transport and a maximum stacking load of 4,250 kg in static storage. At approximately 35 kg, it is heavier than the standard EUR pallet but proportionally stronger.
Like all EPAL pallets, the EPAL 2 is produced under strict quality controls and carries the official EPAL certification mark. Each pallet is ISPM-15 heat treated for international shipping compliance. We supply only new, clean pallets free of damp, mold, or contamination.
The EPAL 2 is particularly popular in automotive logistics, heavy manufacturing, and chemical storage applications. Its robust construction and larger dimensions accommodate loads that would be impractical on smaller pallet formats, reducing the number of pallets needed and streamlining warehouse operations.
Frequently Asked Questions
The EPAL 2 pallet is larger than the standard EPAL 1, measuring 1,200 x 1,000 x 162 mm compared to the EPAL 1's 800 x 1,200 x 144 mm. This gives it a significantly larger surface area, making it ideal for bulkier goods and heavy industrial loads.
The EPAL 2 also features more boards (17 vs. 11) and more nails (133 vs. 78), providing enhanced structural strength. It stands 162 mm tall compared to the EPAL 1's 144 mm, accommodating the additional construction material.
EPAL 2 pallets are commonly used in the automotive industry, heavy manufacturing, chemical storage, and large-scale industrial warehousing. Their larger footprint makes them suitable for oversized goods that do not fit efficiently on standard EPAL 1 pallets.
They are also popular in industries where goods are stored on pallets for extended periods, as the robust construction and higher stacking load capacity provide excellent long-term structural support.
